Since when did adventure & exploration have to involve jumping on a plane to travel far away? The definition of exploring is to travel through (an unfamiliar area) in order to learn about it, and in my eyes some of the most experiences are right on your doorstep…you might just have to look a little harder to find them.
I’ve lived in London for just over a year and a half and always find myself heading to the exact same spots because I know what’s there and how to navigate my way around. So when I was asked by Treasure Trails if I was interested in doing a treasure hunt around London I jumped at the chance to go on a little adventure and to find new areas to visit – along with learning a little background and some interesting facts about this very special city!
There’s a cool new hotel in town, it’s called The Moxy and it’s not quite like anywhere you’ve stayed before. Located in Stratford, it’s just a stones throw away from the monstrous Westfield and the Olympic stadium, so a perfect place to stay after hitting the shops for a spree with the girls (or boys).
I had the pleasure of attending The Moxy’s opening party last week and it was certainly a party like none other. We had the best time and there was so much to do while we were there. It was quite likely one of the best launch parties I think I’ve ever been to…
It’s that time of year again! CHRISTMAS IS COMING! To help make your christmas shopping that little bit easier I’m here to give you the lowdown on a few pieces that caught my eye… and will hopefully catch the eyes of your loved ones too!
In the run up to Christmas I’ll be unveiling my Christmas gift/stocking ideas, I hope you love these products as much as I do and it will prove that not all gifts have to break the bank to be special! I’d also like to thank those companies that gifted me their products to test out!
I’ve just returned from my first ever trip to Manchester this weekend and I had the best time, courtesy of The Slate Yard (massive thanks to Leanne for all of her help). We managed to explore Manchester as well as heading to the theatre and eating & drinking some top notch food and drink. Read on to find out what we got up to on our mini adventure!
Last week, London welcomed the return of London Cocktail Week. A seven-day celebration of the capital’s coolest bars and the chic and wacky cocktails they have to offer.
As well as being able to experience the fun of London Cocktail Week in over 250 bars around the city, you can also head to Old Spitalfields Market near Liverpool Street station to discover some awesome concoctions from some of the best drink brands on the market…
I’ve been saying for quite a while that I’d love to explore Cambridge. Everyone that I’ve spoken to that has visited has expressed just how pretty this city is, so when the lovely people at Rutherfords Punting invited me to experience a trip down the River Cam I jumped at the chance! What better way to discover a beautiful city than by drifting through it in a boat – with your very own tour guide!
Ireland has always been pretty high up on my list of places to explore and even though it’s still a plane ride away I tend to think of it being too close not to go. I had an unbelievable long weekend exploring everything that Dublin has to offer. If you’re looking for a relatively inexpensive and enjoyable weekend then look no further…
What’s that you say? A party? On a private island? 2 hours from London? What a weekend. My friends and I were fortunate enough to be able to spend the weekend partying, making new pals and eating exquisite food, courtesy of Little Yellow Door for this year’s Little Yellow Weekender. Boy, it was one to remember!
Luckily for me I was fortunate enough to be invited by Eurolines to do exactly that! Even better was the fact that I was able to bring along 3 friends for the adventure, and were even given tickets for one of Amsterdam’s house music festivals, 18 Hours.
