I feel that the idea of bingo to many has been misconstrued as an activity purely for older people. Yet, since moving to London I have realised that this really isn’t the case any more. You may have already seen my post on Bogan Bingo which I attend regularly, BUT It was recently brought to my attention that there are some strong bingo contenders on the scene. I will make it my mission to attend as many of these as I can and report back so we can find out which is the best bingo night in the Capital. And so with that in mind I waddled along to the press and preview night of The Bingo Academy’s latest venture, which takes form in the shape of a pop-up at The Vaults underneath Waterloo Station, which is on until 2nd June!Read More »
Have you ever been to an event or party that was out of this world unreal? I did, back in 2016 when Brockmans Gin held a dinner party in Shoreditch’s Village Underground and it was a night ‘Like No Other’. You can read more about this HERE. I still speak about that event and remember how incredible it was, so when I had the chance to revisit Brockmans to celebrate their incredible Gin in this years set of events called #PressForGin, there really was no way I was going to miss it. Here’s how the night unfolded…
Since when did adventure & exploration have to involve jumping on a plane to travel far away? The definition of exploring is to travel through (an unfamiliar area) in order to learn about it, and in my eyes some of the most experiences are right on your doorstep…you might just have to look a little harder to find them.
I’ve lived in London for just over a year and a half and always find myself heading to the exact same spots because I know what’s there and how to navigate my way around. So when I was asked by Treasure Trails if I was interested in doing a treasure hunt around London I jumped at the chance to go on a little adventure and to find new areas to visit – along with learning a little background and some interesting facts about this very special city!
In recent years, yoga has become rapidly more popular and many people have begun to incorporate yoga into their modern lifestyle and it’s very apparent that the health benefits of yoga stretch further than I originally thought and it’s far more than just helping to rid the body of stress.
You may have already heard of various alternative styles of yoga such as Bikram (you’ll most definitely work up a sweat if you sign up for this), Aerial Yoga (this looks fun hanging from the air whilst you stretch) and there’s even dog yoga, where you can meditate and work out alongside your pet pooch! BUT. The other night I attended a new class that ensures you have a whole lot of fun whilst learning the yoga basics and getting a little hot and sweaty whilst shimmying to some of the best boogie tunes. Dine. Dance. Dare.
Everyone’s heard of cabaret, and although it can often come across as cheesy if not executed probably, this is far from the case of The London Cabaret Club located close to Holborn in the beautiful ballroom at Victoria house. We headed down at the weekend to see their latest venture, London Never Dies and it really was a great night, it’s great to experience something completely different from your usual Saturday night out in the centre of the city. And what’s more, with Valentine’s Day coming up they’re putting on a romantic version of the show called Love Never Dies!
I don’t seem to have had the best of relationships with my eyebrows. When I was younger I’d pluck and pluck and even tried shaping them with scissors, and at one point took a razor to them (silly move I know). Since then I’ve been trying to make them my friends again. So, I jumped at the chance to try out a range of The BrowGal UK products from The BrowGal herself, Tonya Crooks! She’s just brought her line to the UK and they’ve set up shop in the world-renowned Selfridges on Oxford Street!
January can be an immensely dreary month. Christmas is over, you’re back at work, all of your money has mysteriously vanished and there are hundreds of disgusting illnesses flying around the streets (I think I’m only just starting to feel human again). I’ve spent many a January searching for something that can brighten my month and make me feel fabulous but I think I’ve finally found something that gives me that boost and helps to make the first month of the year that little bit more bearable.
Let me introduce you to my new January lifesavers…Fruitteatox!
PLUS YOU CAN GET A MASSIVE 40% OFF OF THEIR PRODUCTS IN THEIR SALE UNTIL 15 JANUARY 2018!
As you’re probably all aware, I love going out for an evening and indulging in some tasty food and drinks as well as good company, yet I often find myself heading towards Central London to do this. So when I was invited to The Kings Arms in Hanwell to try a selection of their food and drink I was excited to be able to just hop on a 15 minute bus in a Westerly direction!
Each year in the run up to Christmas, my friend Jaz and I plan our annual Christmas Day out (some years we’ve been too unorganised and done it afterwards). I always look forward to this as we try to jam-pack as many festive things into one glorious day, and because we normally end up rather merry if we’re not driving. And this year was no exception…
We’re almost done with my Stocking Filler and gift idea post and I’m aware that this is far more than I’d normally spend or expect to be spent on a Stocking Filler so this is more like a gift idea, plus perfume is a really good way to go if you’re not completely sure what the woman in your life would want!
Have you ever felt like your usual mouthwash just isn’t cutting it? Is your toothpaste just not as fabulous as you are? Well, then you need to pay attention. Splat Oral Care have completely changed the oral hygiene game and have a whole range to make that daily chore far more exciting with various products from toothpastes to foams and mouthwashes that are destined to make teeth cleaning fun for the whole family.
It’s my 9th Stocking Filler idea for you and today I want to challenge you all. It’s well known that macarons are particularly hard to perfect, but with the help of this kit from Mon Dessert it’s a heck of a lot easier and means that even your friends that are the worst bakers in the world (like me) can feel like absolute stars in the kitchen!
Are you looking for cute ideas of how to spend a couple of hours in London? Well, Look no further. Last weekend I attended a screening of ELf the Nomad Cinema in Leadenhall Market, which made me feel super festive (and a little bit tingly from the cold), it definitely got me and the rest of the audience into the Christmas mood whilst donating all of its proceeds to charity!
It’s day 8 of my Christmas Stocking Filler Guide and this one is something that can be enjoyed all year round and will bring happiness to a loved one each week, could anything make you feel better than fresh flowers delivered to your door weekly? I think not. This is exactly what Freddie’s Flowers offer, plus their flowers are beautiful AND you can Get 50% off your first two boxes when you sign up this month with ITTFF11 or by clicking HERE
It’s my 7th Christmas Stocking Filler Guide post and today is all about the perfectly baked goods from The Polish Bakery that would make absolutely perfect gifts for those with either a sweet or a savoury tooth (or for you to gobble up on your own)! I hope you’ve eaten because if not, you’re about to become extremely hungry…
The lovely Polish Bakery sent me an Autumn goody bag filled to the brim with delicious products to try out, it’s safe to say I’m never going back to my usual bland half and half loaf.
