There’s a cool new hotel in town, it’s called The Moxy and it’s not quite like anywhere you’ve stayed before. Located in Stratford, it’s just a stones throw away from the monstrous Westfield and the Olympic stadium, so a perfect place to stay after hitting the shops for a spree with the girls (or boys).
I had the pleasure of attending The Moxy’s opening party last week and it was certainly a party like none other. We had the best time and there was so much to do while we were there. It was quite likely one of the best launch parties I think I’ve ever been to…
It’s that magical time of year again when everyone begins to get more festive and it’s acceptable to drink mulled wine. You must know what that means? Obviously it means that Hyde park is taken over by bright lights and the smell of roasted chestnuts fills the air. Yes, Winter Wonderland opens its doors for the 11th year today…
Now that it’s part-way through November it would seem as though it’s FINALLY acceptable to talk about Christmas (Hooray!) and I wanted to share the exciting new Christmas range from T2. The Joy 2 the Wildcollection which features a number of new products for you to fall completely in love with…
I’ve just returned from my first ever trip to Manchester this weekend and I had the best time, courtesy of The Slate Yard (massive thanks to Leanne for all of her help). We managed to explore Manchester as well as heading to the theatre and eating & drinking some top notch food and drink. Read on to find out what we got up to on our mini adventure!
Every so often a new and exciting bar opens and it’s all everyone is talking about for a little while. That’s how I’ve felt about Tonight Josephine. Photos keep popping up on my social feeds of people posing with pink neon quotes and confetti walls.
I needed to finally find this bar and see what all the fuss was about. And I wasn’t disappointed.
Last week, London welcomed the return of London Cocktail Week. A seven-day celebration of the capital’s coolest bars and the chic and wacky cocktails they have to offer.
As well as being able to experience the fun of London Cocktail Week in over 250 bars around the city, you can also head to Old Spitalfields Market near Liverpool Street station to discover some awesome concoctions from some of the best drink brands on the market…
I was delighted to be invited along to the Waitrose Cookery School to spend the day testing out and making some fabulous puddings with Tate & Lyle (the largest cane sugar brand in the UK – just in case you weren’t aware) I’m not great at baking but this day taught me so much and I came away with some delicious treats.
Read on to find out how I got on and for the recipes so you can try it yourself…
Fashion and some of the finest food in London… What more could a girl want on a Sunday afternoon?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you will be aware that last week London hosted the second London Fashion Week of the year. I touched upon this glorious week in my post about Simply Be’s Curve Catwalk, but this post is all about what happens straight AFTER fashion week…Read More »
Since it first hit our screens in September 1994 (I was almost 2 years old), Friends has become one of the most popular television shows of all time. Sadly, all good things must come to an end, in May 2004 and after 236 hilarious episodes, the final one was watched by millions of people all over the world (65.9 million to be exact). We thought it was all over, but now there’s a way to relive the days of Friends…and it’s travelling all over the UK right now!…
There’s nothing better in life than going out for some seriously good grub. It’s a chance to dress up and relax and catch up with friends or family whilst treating yourself to something special that you wouldn’t necessarily eat on a daily basis. Saying this, whilst I love trying out a new place to dine I always seem to pick somewhere easy or cheap unless it’s a special occasion. I’d love to change this and try out some new places without feeling to guilty about my bank balance and so i’ve made a Bucket list of the places I can’t wait to try and will hopefully be able to work my way through soon enough!
Ask anyone that knows me well and they’ll tell you ‘Beth doesn’t do tea’. A lot of people find it weird when I tell them that I don’t drink regular tea or coffee because most people believe that tea is the backbone of England and that ANYTHING can be cured with a brew.
Bad day? Have a cup of tea. Broke a nail? Have a tea. Lost your dog? Tea.
Unbeknownst to me, this was all about to change as I was invited to T2 in Shepherds Bush (Westfield) for a one-on-one masterclass to be taught everything there is to know about tea and to completely open my eyes to a whole world that I knew absolutely nothing about.
I’ve been saying for quite a while that I’d love to explore Cambridge. Everyone that I’ve spoken to that has visited has expressed just how pretty this city is, so when the lovely people at Rutherfords Punting invited me to experience a trip down the River Cam I jumped at the chance! What better way to discover a beautiful city than by drifting through it in a boat – with your very own tour guide!
This summer, Deezer ( an internet-based music streaming service) teamed up with the event space Omeara to host a series of one-off intimate performances from a number of up-and-coming Artists and bands.
I attended one of the shows last night and have managed to find 2 new great artists that i’m excited to add to my playlists!
First things first, this definitely isn’t your average night of bingo. You have been warned!
But I can let you into a little secret, it’s far better than the bog-standard bingo they play down at GALA. If you decide to spend your Thursday night at The Slug in Fulham for the fantastic ‘Bogan Bingo’ I can easily promise that you won’t be disappointed.
