I feel that the idea of bingo to many has been misconstrued as an activity purely for older people. Yet, since moving to London I have realised that this really isn’t the case any more. You may have already seen my post on Bogan Bingo which I attend regularly, BUT It was recently brought to my attention that there are some strong bingo contenders on the scene. I will make it my mission to attend as many of these as I can and report back so we can find out which is the best bingo night in the Capital. And so with that in mind I waddled along to the press and preview night of The Bingo Academy’s latest venture, which takes form in the shape of a pop-up at The Vaults underneath Waterloo Station, which is on until 2nd June!Read More »
Have you ever been to an event or party that was out of this world unreal? I did, back in 2016 when Brockmans Gin held a dinner party in Shoreditch’s Village Underground and it was a night ‘Like No Other’. You can read more about this HERE. I still speak about that event and remember how incredible it was, so when I had the chance to revisit Brockmans to celebrate their incredible Gin in this years set of events called #PressForGin, there really was no way I was going to miss it. Here’s how the night unfolded…
In my eyes, cheese is one of the great wonders of the world. I don’t know what I’d do with my life if cheese was never invented. I feel incredibly sorry for those who can’t eat the glorious stuff as a staple part of their diet. So when I heard that Rascals in Shoreditch holds a weekly cheese party, I simply HAD to get myself a ticket and gear up for possibly the cheesiest night of my life.
Since when did adventure & exploration have to involve jumping on a plane to travel far away? The definition of exploring is to travel through (an unfamiliar area) in order to learn about it, and in my eyes some of the most experiences are right on your doorstep…you might just have to look a little harder to find them.
I’ve lived in London for just over a year and a half and always find myself heading to the exact same spots because I know what’s there and how to navigate my way around. So when I was asked by Treasure Trails if I was interested in doing a treasure hunt around London I jumped at the chance to go on a little adventure and to find new areas to visit – along with learning a little background and some interesting facts about this very special city!
In recent years, yoga has become rapidly more popular and many people have begun to incorporate yoga into their modern lifestyle and it’s very apparent that the health benefits of yoga stretch further than I originally thought and it’s far more than just helping to rid the body of stress.
You may have already heard of various alternative styles of yoga such as Bikram (you’ll most definitely work up a sweat if you sign up for this), Aerial Yoga (this looks fun hanging from the air whilst you stretch) and there’s even dog yoga, where you can meditate and work out alongside your pet pooch! BUT. The other night I attended a new class that ensures you have a whole lot of fun whilst learning the yoga basics and getting a little hot and sweaty whilst shimmying to some of the best boogie tunes. Dine. Dance. Dare.
Everyone’s heard of cabaret, and although it can often come across as cheesy if not executed probably, this is far from the case of The London Cabaret Club located close to Holborn in the beautiful ballroom at Victoria house. We headed down at the weekend to see their latest venture, London Never Dies and it really was a great night, it’s great to experience something completely different from your usual Saturday night out in the centre of the city. And what’s more, with Valentine’s Day coming up they’re putting on a romantic version of the show called Love Never Dies!
I’m sure you’ve heard of In The Style by now. But just in case you haven’t, it’s a great online clothing company which has gone from strength to strength since it was launched by Adam Frisby in 2013. The brand is known for it’s collaborations with various well recognised reality tv stars and this Valentine’s Day these collaborations have teamed up to create the 2018 Valentine’s collection – Totes Over It, in which the 5 leading ladies show is what we really want for Valentine’s instead of chocolates and roses!
I LOVE CREME EGGS. There, I said it. I look forward to them all winter long (although they seem to be appearing earlier and earlier each year now). So I was over the moon to attend the new creme egg pop up which opens today in Shoreditch! It’s called the Creme Egg Camp and it’s here to help you celebrate ‘Creme Egg hunting season’ and hopefully give you more of a chance of finding one of the extremely rare white chocolate eggs!
Each year in the run up to Christmas, my friend Jaz and I plan our annual Christmas Day out (some years we’ve been too unorganised and done it afterwards). I always look forward to this as we try to jam-pack as many festive things into one glorious day, and because we normally end up rather merry if we’re not driving. And this year was no exception…
Are you looking for cute ideas of how to spend a couple of hours in London? Well, Look no further. Last weekend I attended a screening of ELf the Nomad Cinema in Leadenhall Market, which made me feel super festive (and a little bit tingly from the cold), it definitely got me and the rest of the audience into the Christmas mood whilst donating all of its proceeds to charity!
There’s a cool new hotel in town, it’s called The Moxy and it’s not quite like anywhere you’ve stayed before. Located in Stratford, it’s just a stones throw away from the monstrous Westfield and the Olympic stadium, so a perfect place to stay after hitting the shops for a spree with the girls (or boys).
I had the pleasure of attending The Moxy’s opening party last week and it was certainly a party like none other. We had the best time and there was so much to do while we were there. It was quite likely one of the best launch parties I think I’ve ever been to…
It’s that magical time of year again when everyone begins to get more festive and it’s acceptable to drink mulled wine. You must know what that means? Obviously it means that Hyde park is taken over by bright lights and the smell of roasted chestnuts fills the air. Yes, Winter Wonderland opens its doors for the 11th year today…
Now that it’s part-way through November it would seem as though it’s FINALLY acceptable to talk about Christmas (Hooray!) and I wanted to share the exciting new Christmas range from T2. The Joy 2 the Wild collection which features a number of new products for you to fall completely in love with…
I’ve just returned from my first ever trip to Manchester this weekend and I had the best time, courtesy of The Slate Yard (massive thanks to Leanne for all of her help). We managed to explore Manchester as well as heading to the theatre and eating & drinking some top notch food and drink. Read on to find out what we got up to on our mini adventure!
I turned 25 on Sunday (Woop Woop, Happy Birthday Me!!) and managed to cram in 5 days of partying and prosecco. It’s been a lot of fun but today I found myself completely drained and in need of a chilled day.
Lucky for me, as a part of their 10th Birthday Celebrations, I was invited for a spa day by Perception Live at the Imagine Spa in Kensington for a day of pampering. It was exactly what I needed to take my mind off the hustle and bustle of living in London and allowed me to relax for a couple of hours with my friend!
