There’s not much better in life than a dinner party. Food, drink and fun company. What else could you want from a Friday night? And that’s we’re South Place Hotel steps in. A few weeks ago They held Friday night dinner event named The Suckling Pig Dinner, which is just one of the many exciting events that they hold throughout the year. I was very excited to receive an invitation for me and a guest to experience this for myself, and *Spoiler Alert*, it was a fantastic evening of culinary delights!
With Prince Harry’s imminent ceremony to the beautiful Meghan Markle just a few hours away the whole country has gone completely wedding mad! Any Royal Wedding is a cause to celebrate in my eyes, and that’s exactly what one of London’s top attractions decided to do last night! I was cordially invited to the Royal Stag and Hen Do after hours as part of Madame Tussauds London Lates, where I was able to rub shoulders with the couple of the moment and all of the other fantastic celebrities and household names that were in attendance!
I feel that the idea of bingo to many has been misconstrued as an activity purely for older people. Yet, since moving to London I have realised that this really isn’t the case any more. You may have already seen my post on Bogan Bingo which I attend regularly, BUT It was recently brought to my attention that there are some strong bingo contenders on the scene. I will make it my mission to attend as many of these as I can and report back so we can find out which is the best bingo night in the Capital. And so with that in mind I waddled along to the press and preview night of The Bingo Academy’s latest venture, which takes form in the shape of a pop-up at The Vaults underneath Waterloo Station, which is on until 2nd June!Read More »
Have you ever been to an event or party that was out of this world unreal? I did, back in 2016 when Brockmans Gin held a dinner party in Shoreditch’s Village Underground and it was a night ‘Like No Other’. You can read more about this HERE. I still speak about that event and remember how incredible it was, so when I had the chance to revisit Brockmans to celebrate their incredible Gin in this years set of events called #PressForGin, there really was no way I was going to miss it. Here’s how the night unfolded…
Since when did adventure & exploration have to involve jumping on a plane to travel far away? The definition of exploring is to travel through (an unfamiliar area) in order to learn about it, and in my eyes some of the most experiences are right on your doorstep…you might just have to look a little harder to find them.
I’ve lived in London for just over a year and a half and always find myself heading to the exact same spots because I know what’s there and how to navigate my way around. So when I was asked by Treasure Trails if I was interested in doing a treasure hunt around London I jumped at the chance to go on a little adventure and to find new areas to visit – along with learning a little background and some interesting facts about this very special city!
Dine. Dance. Dare.
Everyone’s heard of cabaret, and although it can often come across as cheesy if not executed probably, this is far from the case of The London Cabaret Club located close to Holborn in the beautiful ballroom at Victoria house. We headed down at the weekend to see their latest venture, London Never Dies and it really was a great night, it’s great to experience something completely different from your usual Saturday night out in the centre of the city. And what’s more, with Valentine’s Day coming up they’re putting on a romantic version of the show called Love Never Dies!
I’m sure you’ve heard of In The Style by now. But just in case you haven’t, it’s a great online clothing company which has gone from strength to strength since it was launched by Adam Frisby in 2013. The brand is known for it’s collaborations with various well recognised reality tv stars and this Valentine’s Day these collaborations have teamed up to create the 2018 Valentine’s collection – Totes Over It, in which the 5 leading ladies show is what we really want for Valentine’s instead of chocolates and roses!
I LOVE CREME EGGS. There, I said it. I look forward to them all winter long (although they seem to be appearing earlier and earlier each year now). So I was over the moon to attend the new creme egg pop up which opens today in Shoreditch! It’s called the Creme Egg Camp and it’s here to help you celebrate ‘Creme Egg hunting season’ and hopefully give you more of a chance of finding one of the extremely rare white chocolate eggs!
Each year in the run up to Christmas, my friend Jaz and I plan our annual Christmas Day out (some years we’ve been too unorganised and done it afterwards). I always look forward to this as we try to jam-pack as many festive things into one glorious day, and because we normally end up rather merry if we’re not driving. And this year was no exception…
Are you looking for cute ideas of how to spend a couple of hours in London? Well, Look no further. Last weekend I attended a screening of ELf the Nomad Cinema in Leadenhall Market, which made me feel super festive (and a little bit tingly from the cold), it definitely got me and the rest of the audience into the Christmas mood whilst donating all of its proceeds to charity!
It’s that magical time of year again when everyone begins to get more festive and it’s acceptable to drink mulled wine. You must know what that means? Obviously it means that Hyde park is taken over by bright lights and the smell of roasted chestnuts fills the air. Yes, Winter Wonderland opens its doors for the 11th year today…
Now that it’s already pretty nippy outside I’ve started to swap warm evenings out for cosy evenings in with a hot chocolate, watching my favourite films (surely, it’s not too early for ELF? Is it?) and catching up on all of the television shows that my friends have told me to watch!
I’ve teamed up with Panasonic and the amazing new OLED TV Panasonic to let you guys know about the TV shows that currently have me completely and utterly hooked! ( and of course they’re far better when you’re watching on a high definition TV, you might as well be there!).
I’ve just returned from my first ever trip to Manchester this weekend and I had the best time, courtesy of The Slate Yard (massive thanks to Leanne for all of her help). We managed to explore Manchester as well as heading to the theatre and eating & drinking some top notch food and drink. Read on to find out what we got up to on our mini adventure!
Every so often a new and exciting bar opens and it’s all everyone is talking about for a little while. That’s how I’ve felt about Tonight Josephine. Photos keep popping up on my social feeds of people posing with pink neon quotes and confetti walls.
I needed to finally find this bar and see what all the fuss was about. And I wasn’t disappointed.
Guys. What even was your childhood about if you never had a peperami.
