Christmas Stocking Filler Guide: Day 5 – Lush Sleepy Lotion

I need to tell you all about this product from Lush, hence why it’s day number 5 on my Christmas Stocking Filler Guide. It’s INCREDIBLE and I feel that it has changed the way I sleep completely… So if you have trouble sleeping then this most definitely is the way forward that everyone should know about.

Sleepy Lush Body Lotion

Sleepy is an extremely popular body lotion devised by Lush, and I had seen it everywhere and heard so many people talking about it that I decided I needed to give it a try for myself. And I’m so so glad I did.

I’ve always had issues sleeping. Sometimes it would take me hours to drift off and I’d just be laying there getting more and more angry that I wasn’t falling asleep which was stopping me from getting to sleep even more and it was just a huge viscous cycle. Or if I did manage to get to sleep I’d continue to wake up every hour or so, either from a noise outside (lightest sleeper in the universe over here) or just from a dream. (Apparently I often wake myself up by talking to my self or sitting upright – at points I’ve even got up and moved things around my room with no recollection the next day which leads to a very disrupted sleep).

So I was a little apprehensive to try this cream although I’d wanted to for as long as it had been out as I assumed it just wouldn’t work for me. BUT IT DID!!

It could just be a placebo after hearing such amazing things about the product which then leads me to think it’s making my sleep better, but either way I’ve been getting a lot more sleep and my sleep tracking app has never been happier.

It’s a really lightweight moisturising lotion with a lovely pale purple colour and the smell is incredible. It reminds me slightly of Christmas cookies I used to have when I was little and at my friends house. I can’t remember what they were called but I think they were from Germany…anyone?

It’s made up of 25 ingredients, most of which are natural and is not tested on animals so it’s a great product if you have sensitive skin like me (I’ve found that I can’t put it on my face every night but occasionally is absolutely fine, and then you can still lather it over the rest of your body as you descend into a deep and calm sleep.

The main ingredients that are included are oatmeal and lavender which allows the smell to be the perfect thing to send you off.

I’d definitely suggest this dream cream to anyone who suffers with sleep problems as you could find the thing you’ve been looking for forever. It goes on really easily and absorbs quickly so by the time you’ve settled down you’re ready to fall asleep. So you better head down to Lush now!

  1. I don’t know if I should admit this but I’m not really much of a LUSH lover! I have been bought bath bombs as present but the smell of this store gives me a headache! I really need to get past this and try more products 🙈

  2. I’ve recently received this to review and although I’ve only had it a few days I’ve noticed a huge difference in my sleep! I’ve really struggled with sleep the last few months so I’m so glad I’ve found something that actually helps! Loved reading your review xx

  3. I’m in love with the Lush sleepy cream! I went away travelling for 3 months and would always use it at the end of the day, it really helped me relax and feel comfortable in new places, as I was constantly moving. Lovely post!
